I have a current stamp in my passport. Non-imm visa stamp, expires on the 13th of July. I have spouse visa, my wife has non-b visa and work permit. I now have a company to employ myself and they can arrange. As per message above, is it possible to apply in country for new visa? Many thanks as always.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a Non-Immigrant visa that expires soon and is inquiring whether they can apply for a new visa while in Thailand, given that they have a work opportunity with a new company. Responses indicate that applying for a new visa within Thailand may not be possible unless on a specific extension, and suggest consulting with the employer and immigration office.

As it is your own company, to talk to your employer is not easy, but you have Thai partners, They can apply for your Work Permit and help you out at Immigration.

NO you can't apply for a new VISA inside the country.

BUT if you are on an extension of stay based on 'trailing spouse' you MIGHT <- as in maybe depending on the immigration office be able to cancel that extension and immediately apply for a new extension based on employment. Your employer AND your immigration office is the place to start asking questions on whether it can be done or not

Look at the stamp in your passport are you on an EXTENSION OF STAY based on being married to a foreigner who legally works here?

Thanks Tod. I am on an extension based on being married to a foreigner who works here. Thanks for the advice. I will get on the case now and see what I can do. All the best.

OR are you on the original 90 day entry from a Non-Immigrant Type O visa?
