My Non-B visa extension finishes in July, I want to make Retirement O visa.

I have a couple of questions.

Is 800k 2 months seasoning?

Do I need police check from Uk?

insurance?

anything else needed?

Thank you for any input.

EDITED TO SHOW THE CORRECT VISA EXTENSION :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance on transitioning from a Non-B visa extension to a Retirement O visa in Thailand. Key questions include whether an 800,000 baht deposit must be maintained for two months, if a police check from the UK is required, and if insurance is necessary. Responses clarify that while a police check isn't needed, documentation from the employer to cancel the current visa and proof of the financial requirement (800,000 baht in a Thai bank) is essential.

IF you are on an extension of stay based on employment <- which you find out by looking at the stamp in your passport ๐Ÿ™‚

You would get documents from your employer stating that on xx date you stop work, you go to the immigration office and cancel the extension you're on AND you immediately apply for a new yearly extension based on being over 50 (retirement) by meeting the financial requirements (800K baht in a thai bank in your name only for 2 months before you apply).

You do NOT need a Non-O visa, all you're doing is changing the reason for your extension from one based on employment to one based on retirement and people do that all the time

You do not need a police check, no insurance is required, but you DO need to have the 800K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the retirement extension.

As I said you DO NOT need a non-O visa ๐Ÿ™‚ you are just changing your reason for your extension

Okay, let's try that again ๐Ÿ˜› I edited the post to show that you're on a Non-B extension (which is what you should be on unless it's the original 90 day entry from a Non-B visa)

@Bill *****
then you're not on ANY visa, you're on an "extension of stay" <- which is what the stamp most likely says in your passport ๐Ÿ˜‰
