TLDR : Answer Summary
The new amnesty decree has been officially published in the Royal Gazette, providing clarity on visa extensions. It specifically affects those who applied for a 30-day extension before the previous amnesty expired on September 26. Under new provisions, applicants with an 'under consideration' stamp can secure a stay until November 30. Comments from users express excitement for the amnesty while highlighting concerns about its implications and the handling of extensions by immigration officials.

As much as I like the Thais in general, I have to say this is PRly embarrassing for this government (could you call it that?)
It seems that the tail is wagging the dog. Online, farang are screaming their displeasure while dropping free suggestions and advice everywhere. Thai authorities who eavesdrop in forums such as this suddenly become "wiser" and ... Voila! ... further extension of the visa amnesty.
Farang dictate the terms, so you all should know what's coming. Simply save them face at the end.

Happy days for many but not for me anymore ๐ Good luck to you all with new stamps.
September *****
I have to go next Monday,I hope i will get the right stamp ๐ค๐ป
IF you applied for a 30 day embassy request extension BEFORE the previous amnesty expired (Sept 26th) and you have an under consideration stamp, when you go back to "close the loop" you will get stamped until the 30th of Nov.
IF you already got the extension of stay stamp and it's dated to the 26th of Oct (meaning you closed the loop already) you can go back and get the stamp corrected to the 30th of Nov.
I would strongly suggest you wait a few days before you run down to the immigration office to get your Oct 26th extension stamp adjusted to Nov 30. Give the immigration offices a few days to get up to speed.

Yaaaay, great news for so many people.

It seems not to mention the 30-Nov courtesy permission for those who applied to extend prior to 26-Sept. I wonder if that will be at IO discretion.

Just went to Ranong IO today. On the under consideration, eventually after a lot of talk, they told me to come back b4 the 26th to get the stamp upto 26th?.? If i want to stay longer i must apply and pay again..myself and others told them of the amnesty but they didnt seem to know what to do..๐

IF you applied for a 30 day extension with the embassy letter on or before the 26th of Sept <- the official day amnesty ran out, when you go back to get the under consideration stamp changed to an extension stamp they will stamp you in until the 30th of Nov.
thanks. Any chance I could come in earlier than the date specified on my under consideration? I got 21-Oct. But if I could get it stamped earlier, I wouldn't have to come in again for a couple months. ๐
