Can anybody help with this scenario.

I got O-A visa in October 2021

Came back Sept 6th 2022 with another years insurance and got stamp to Sept 5th, 2023.

Going home April for few months.

Now questions:

If I come back in August will they only stamp me to end of my insurance 30 Sept ?

When I renew insurance for another year in September will immigration stamp my passport for a year ?

If I decide to comeback after Sept 5th 2023 do I need to apply for a new O-A visa before I travel.

Anybody able to answer. Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has questions regarding their O-A visa status and insurance. Specifically, they want to know about the duration of their entry stamp upon returning to Thailand in August, whether renewing their insurance will result in a new visa stamp for a year, and whether they need to apply for a new O-A visa if they return after September 5, 2023. The answers clarify that their current entry stamp will only last until September 5, 2023, that renewing the insurance does not extend the visa stamp duration, and that they would need to obtain a new O-A visa before returning to Thailand after that date.

Doesn't matter when you come back you'll only get stamped in until the end of this current entry stamp

That's because IF you indeed bought an OA visa from the thai consulate in your country before you came here it's valid only for a year from the date it's issued <meaning it would have ran out Oct 2022 (seeing as it was issued Oct 2021). You entered in Sept 2022 just before the visa itself ran out and as you had new insurance you were stamped in for a year. ๐Ÿ™‚ The most time you can get out of an OA visa (working the entry stamps correctly is 2 years (which you did ๐Ÿ™‚ )

Nope, they will not, those year entry stamps are given because you have a valid VISA in your passport and if your visa expired on Oct 2022 you are only here on an entry stamp, SO

If you want to leave/come back you would need to buy a re-entry permit first, then when you came back you would only get stamped in for the duration of this current stamp Sept 5th 2023

I would say when you leave in April, just leave without any re-entry permit, let the current entry stamp you're on cancel when you stamp out and buy another OA visa from the thai consulate in your country before you come back (with new insurance) so you get stamped in for a whole new year (or as long as the insurance is valid for up to a year)
