We rented a condominium in Hua Hin Sunday evening. Owner is in Bangkok. Apparently does not know about this. Says the agency needs to handle it. Agent doesn’t seem to understand and the condo juristic person, who is very nice, says they don’t know about this. We do not have direct contact with the owner. Not sure what to do next. I do have a copy of the blue book and the owner’s id.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Kathryn Liston shares her experience of renting a condominium in Hua Hin, facing issues with the property owner who is unaware of the rental agreement. Despite having a copy of the blue book and the owner's ID, direct communication with the owner is lacking. Commenters offer advice on filing the TM30 form for immigration purposes, emphasizing that it can be done without the owner's involvement if a contract exists. They suggest checking with immigration and assessing whether previous accommodation has been reported.
You said you have booked long term. Do you have a contract with the owner? If so you can lodge the TM30 application yourself and do not need the owner to be involved at all.
seeing as you're here on a long stay visa (that stamps you in for a year every time you enter the country for the validity of the visa itself) you definitely need to get your TM.30 sorted out.
Again I'd say stop by the Blu Port Mall and ask at that immigration office because it's not busy and they can do TM.30's, 90 day reports, etc.
Thank you I will take to the juristic person. We did stay in a bed and breakfast hotel here in Hua Hin for a week before finding a place to rent long term. If they notified immigration (and I will check with them) then would we only need to let immigration know of our new address. Thanks
If you're going to get an extension of stay on what ever visa you are here on now, you're definitely going to need to file the TM.30 form with the Hua Hin Immigration office. I'd stop by their one stop center in Blue Port Mall and see what you need to file it.
