TLDR : Answer Summary
To qualify for a yearly extension based on raising a Thai child, expatriates must demonstrate financial stability. The requirements include having either 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account under their name or a minimum monthly income of 40,000 baht. It is noted that discrepancies exist in the information available regarding parental visa extensions, with some sources suggesting a financial requirement of 500,000 baht. Regardless, having legal parental rights is essential to applying for this visa category.

@Peter ******
that is for getting a visa/extension based on raising a 100% foreign child (no thai parent) here on an ED visa.

Not for getting a visa/extension based on raising a half thai child that you are the parent of.

The financial requirements for raising a thai child are 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only (there is NO official seasoning requirement posted in the police order)

OR

a minimum income of 40K baht a month.
