TLDR : Answer Summary
Effective January 1, 2025, Thai consulates in Taipei, Yangon, Singapore, Manila, Vientiane, and Savannakhet will cease accepting walk-up applications and transition to an online eVisa web portal. Key last dates for in-person applications have been provided, notably: Vientiane and Savannakhet are stopping on December 20, Yangon on December 24, Singapore on December 17, and Taipei on December 27. Notably, Vientiane and Yangon are fully booked for appointments.
I would strongly suggest ANYONE wanting to get a visa at a "walk up/apply in person" consulate get to the thai consulate in Taipei on or before the 27th of December because hands down that is the most "user friendly" consulate in S/E Asia right now. (y)
