Someone made an incorrect post about a limit of TWO tourist visas in a year :O
THERE IS NO SUCH LIMIT.
I read thru the comments and there was so much misinformation that I just deleted the thread.
ONE LAST TIME: There is NO limit to the number of tourist visas you can get in a specific time frame. Each consulate sets their own limit and will warning stamp people who foolishly use the same consulate over and over.
There IS a limit of TWO 30 day visa exempt entry stamps by land in a calendar year (Jan 1 - Dec 31) for people from 44 countries.
Sorry to have deleted that thread, there was some good info on it, BUT there was a LOT of bad info on it so it had to go...
TLDR : Answer Summary
The post clarifies that there is no limit to the number of tourist visas one can apply for within a year in Thailand. Each consulate determines its own policies, and while repeated applications at the same consulate may lead to warning stamps, there's no official cap on the total number of tourist visas. However, there are limits on visa exempt entries, specifically two 30-day entries by land per calendar year for nationals from 44 countries.
