60 DAY COVID EXTENSIONS

The current 60 day covid extension program (which started Jan 26th) ENDS when immigration offices close this Friday (the 25th)

There has been NO news about whether it will continue or not.

Remember this current 60 day covid program is ONLY for people who entered thailand on a visa exempt entry OR a tourist visa entry.

If you ever had a non-immigrant type visa since you've stamped in to thailand you cannot get a covid extension

AND

if you're from one of the 18 countries that BUY a 15 day visa on arrival when you land here for 2000baht you cannot get a covid extension

As soon as we hear something official we will post it

TLDR : Answer Summary
The COVID extension program in Thailand, allowing an additional 60 days, ends when immigration offices close on March 25th. This extension is only available for those who entered Thailand on a visa exempt entry or a tourist visa. Non-immigrant visa holders and citizens from certain countries who buy a visa on arrival are ineligible for this extension. There has been no official announcement regarding the program's continuation.

and thank you one and all for your opinions <- which is all they are ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

At this time there has been NO official word about the covid program being continued after the 26th,

So think what you want ๐Ÿ™‚ , until we hear a govt official saying something about it we're going with just cluing you people in like we always do when these programs run out.

Thank you, Tod! It's been a fun ride and you were one of the most supportive, rational and fun voices during this pandemic in Thailand. Keep up the good work, if you want to grab a beer in BKK in the next days I'll happily invite you...before I make my way out of this country (my last Covid extension ends March 31, let's see if I get a cute one day overstay before crossing back to Malaysia on April 1 when they open up).
