Hi! What is the current processing time in Laos? Is there a way to find out before applying? We can delay our exit out of Laos, but not by weeks so I am wondering if it makes sense to apply now.

Hi everyone,

I’m Thai and my husband will need to apply for a Non-Immigrant O visa soon. We understand that we will have to leave Thailand to apply for it from a nearby country.

I’d really appreciate any recommendations on which neighboring country would be the easiest or most convenient for this process (I see on the group that Laos could be easy?)

Could anyone share their recent experiences regarding:

- Which country/embassy you used

- The application procedure (in person at the embassy or by evisa?)

- Processing time / waiting period

I have another question: an agent in Thailand told me that I can apply for an e-visa while he is in Thailand, and that once the visa is issued, he would need to leave the country and re-enter to activate it. Is that correct?

Any advice or tips would be very helpful. Thank you in advance!

🙏🏼

Hi everyone.I arrived in Thailand on retirement non O visa on April 11.Spent short vacation in Karon for 9 days and now in Hua Hin with wife.i intend to apply gor 12 month extension and am aware of the rules and regulations but am finding it difficult to find long term rental and the rental agreement i will need for extension. My question is when I apply for 12 month extension with appropriate paperwork and bank deposit,is the approval given on the day of immigration providing everything is in order at the office appointment or is there a waiting period.

Thanks.

How long does it take for a 5 year bronze elite visa turn around? Looking at doing that instead of retirement visa although I qualify. The agency I used sucked and got my name and passport numbers wrong on documents. I need an easy route. I don’t care about the money. I’m sick, I have cancer complications hence the reason for using an agency. I’m tired. I just need something easy. The banks have been giving me the run around and frankly I’m too ing tired, literally and physically to deal with it them anymore. Any jerk comments will be deleted. Just need some advice, kindness, and grace for once. Just once.

Finally dtv approved London embassy, using Issa compass around 3 weeks including extra submissions. A very helpful agency would use again in future.

Hello, I need to go to Phnom Penh to apply for my non-O visa at the embassy. I wanted to know if the application is still processed through the official website or if I need to go in person, and how many days it takes to get the visa. Thank you all.

Hi everyone,

I would like to seek advice regarding applying for a DTV dependent visa for my son. I am currently holding a DTV visa (issued last month).

Based on my understanding, I am preparing the following documents:

1. Passport bio page

2. Current visa page

3. Passport-sized photo

4. Birth certificate

5. Household member list / family registration

6. Sponsor letter from main DTV holder

7. Bank statements (3–6 months)

8. Monthly income proof / payslips (3–6 months)

May I ask:

• Are there any additional documents required?

• Any minimum financial requirement for dependents?

• Which country did you apply from and how long was the processing time?

Appreciate your advice and shared experience. Thank you.

Has anyone experienced a really long wait for a DTV visa?

I submitted March 3rd. It went to processing pending approval on March 4th. It’s still at that point but I haven’t been asked for anymore documents or any other checks. I’ve emailed the visa centre twice to just be given an automatic response that it can take at least 15 working days but it is way over that. So now Im not sure what to do. It’s Guangzhou Thai embassy I applied from.
