Howard Waudby, you are NOT even IN thailand yet. :O
You don't show anything as far as funds or money at all at the immigration office you already HAVE a visa and you won't need to apply for an extension on it for two years if you use the visa correctly.
When you get back into the country you go to the immigration office and file what's called a TM30 form (that notifies them you are at the address you live at). You do that within 24 hours of getting to your address in thailand.
Also 89 days from the date you arrive you go to the immigration office and file a 90 day report. It is free to do.
I have sent you private messages but you don't seem to have read them.
Dial back your paranoia and insecurities just a bit okay? You got a visa that you can use for the next two years to stay here. GET HERE, then go from there.
TLDR : Answer Summary
Once you arrive in Thailand, you do not need to show funds at the immigration office since you already hold a valid visa. You're required to notify immigration of your residence using a TM30 form within 24 hours of arrival and must file a 90-day report for your visa, which is free. You can stay under your current visa for two years, so it's important to focus on these requirements once you've arrived.
