Hi and thanks for all you do here. Im on a non O multi visa married to Thai. I needed to exit Thailand on 27th March but on 25th March got an in country 3 month extension for taking care my mother who had just broke her leg. The immigration officer told me i should leave and re-enter when the borders open if my mother managed to return to the UK. She did get back to UK and is recovering well. Do you think im covered to end of July if the law passes as this would be the best time for me to go as my visa is ok till late October.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user received a 90-day extension on their Non-O visa due to a medical situation with their mother. They inquired whether this extension allows them to stay until the potential new law passes, aimed to ease visa regulations.

so you got a 90 day medical extension of stay that expires at the end of June?

You will be covered on the new amnesty plan (that is NOT law yet) and allowed to stay no longer than the 31st of July.

BUT if the borders open up, you should bounce out and back to get a new 90 day entry on your Non-O visa
