Where can my friend on a UK passport apply for a 30-day visa extension in Thailand?
Toby McCarthy
Hi all,
My friend just arrived here on 45 days visa exempt entry.
He is on a UK passport.
Where would he go for his 30 day extension and possible covid extensions?

Answer summary
A user inquired about where a friend on a UK passport, who is in Thailand on a 45-day visa exempt entry, can apply for a 30-day extension and potential COVID-19 extensions. Comments clarified that the friend should not visit the Chaengwattana office but rather go to the Muang Thong Thani immigration office for the extension process. An appointment for the extension can be made using a specific online booking system.

That person is NOT here on a Visa On Arrival <- the visa on arrival program is cancelled.
You had it right when you said the came in "visa exempt" <- that means they get in free without a visa :)

I edited out the bad terminology and unneeded info. That person is NOT here on a Visa On Arrival <- the visa on arrival program is cancelled.

OPYour friend would NOT go to Chaengwattana to get an extension (not the regular 30 day one and not the 60 day covid one either)
In Bangkok, they would go to the alternate immigration office at Muang Thong Thani and use Counter K,.
It's this location and this building
