I am also going to change from retirement visa to marriage visa.
We was married I Europe 19 years ago and have a valid marriage certificate which 19 years ago was translated to English and to Thai by the university in my home town.
Will these translations be enough to prove our marriage and change the visa ? Can the change be done here locally with out flying to Bangkok.
We live in Phuket
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about changing their retirement visa to a marriage visa in Thailand, specifically in Phuket. They have a marriage certificate from Europe that was translated into English and Thai 19 years ago. Answers provided suggest that translations typically need certification from the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and it may be necessary to register the marriage at a local amphur. It's advised to consult the local immigration office before proceeding with the application to clarify specific document requirements.
