ATTENTION MEMBERS:

ALL Thai Immigration offices will be closed on Monday the 11th.

Plan accordingly

And before you ask the borders are open like normal

Answer summary

All Thai Immigration offices will be closed on Monday the 11th, so plan accordingly. Despite the closures, borders remain open. The Thai Embassy in Vientiane is operational, and there are concerns regarding visa extensions, especially for those whose visa exemptions are expiring soon.

you're fine going tomorrow, if your stamp expires on a day that the immigration office is closed (weekends or holidays) AND you go the very next day they're open you don't get an overstay fine and you can extend your visa without a problem.

Ooh. I was planning to go for an extension as my 30-day exempt runs out on Sunday. There won't be a fine for going Tuesday, will there?
