TLDR : Answer Summary
Christopher is inquiring about the 800,000 Baht financial requirement for a retirement visa in Thailand, specifically whether it applies to both him and his wife or just one of them. A comment clarifies that his wife can obtain a Non-O visa by transferring the required amount into her account, while Christopher cannot directly obtain a visa based on being her spouse while doing so in the country.

Your wife can get a 90 day Non-O visa based on being over 50 inside the country at the immigration office by showing she transferred 800K baht into a thai bank account in her name only.

You on the other hand cannot get a 90 day Non-O visa issued inside the country based on being the spouse of a retiree as that is not a reason they issue in country Non-O visas for

That means you'd have to get it at a thai consulate in another country AFTER your wife has her 90 day Non-O from inside thailand.

after the husband got the non o outside Thailand. What is the required document for the husband to get the 1 year extension in Thailand as a spouse to his wife?

that is going to require a trip to the immigration office to get the hand out and see what documents that specific office requires for a "trailing spouse" extension.

, there is no difference between gender for an extension based on being a trailing spouse to a foreigner who is staying in Thailand legally (retirement).

Mainly, proof of relationship to the primary person, and other general extension documents.
