Is the 800,000 Baht requirement for a retirement visa applicable to both spouses or just one?

I’m looking at the retirement visa with my wife, is the 800k for a couple or is it 800k each? she’s 50 so can go for retirement visa, I’m 47 so told I can piggy back off her visa

Your wife can get a 90 day Non-O visa based on being over 50 inside the country at the immigration office by showing she transferred 800K baht into a thai bank account in her name only.

You on the other hand cannot get a 90 day Non-O visa issued inside the country based on being the spouse of a retiree as that is not a reason they issue in country Non-O visas for

That means you'd have to get it at a thai consulate in another country AFTER your wife has her 90 day Non-O from inside thailand.

after the husband got the non o outside Thailand. What is the required document for the husband to get the 1 year extension in Thailand as a spouse to his wife?

that is going to require a trip to the immigration office to get the hand out and see what documents that specific office requires for a "trailing spouse" extension.

, there is no difference between gender for an extension based on being a trailing spouse to a foreigner who is staying in Thailand legally (retirement).

Mainly, proof of relationship to the primary person, and other general extension documents.
