What types of visas will the new immigration office on Koh Phangan handle starting May 20th?
The Immigration office on Koh Phangan will be opening on the 20th of May.
Answer summary
The Immigration office on Koh Phangan is set to open on May 20th, 2021. There are questions regarding the types of visas that will be processed at this new location, with past experiences indicating that specific visa types, like student visas, may still require visits to the Samui office. Community members express both excitement for the local service and skepticism about previous reviews suggesting that the office had already offered services before its official opening.

Is it for all kind of visas? Because last time they put an office I remember that for example, for student visa you still needed to go to Samui and they just did regular extension of tourist visa

Yet someone wrote a review on Google praising that office services two weeks ago already. Did they have a trial run / soft opening, or are some people just plain stupid to review something that hasn’t opened yet - luring people to go to a closed office?
