Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for extending a 90-day Non-O visa to a 1-year visa based on supporting a Thai child include having 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account in your name for at least two months, and if not married to the Thai mother, legal parental rights through family court or Amphur documentation. It's important to make the application at the main immigration office at Chaengwattana, not at IT Square, which is a facility for free stamp extensions.

You need to cancel that appt at IT Square,That's the "free stamp" extension location in bangkok

That's NOT where you go to get extensions if you already have a valid 90 day Non-O visa

You want the main office at Chaengwattana

AND

You will wanna slog on out there, go to section L-1 and get the hand out in person from them about getting a year extension based on raising thai child

I take it you got this 90 day Non-O outside the country at a thai consulate?

When does your current 90 day Non-O expire?

You'd need to have 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only (while it's not written into the rule they will want the funds seasoned 2 months)

If you were not married to the thai mother, you'd have to have legal parental rights granted via family court OR via the Amphur (if the child is old enough) in order to get a year extension based on raising thai family,

So the real questions are,

- Do you have legal parental rights granted (family court or Amphur)?

and

- Do you have 400k banked in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months?

I have joint 50% custody from Thai courts in Phuket

Not 400k in bank but I read from an AI Google response that 40k per month proof of income will suffice which I have

All these questions, (including the 400k / 40k monthly), have been answered for you in your previous posts asking exactly the same question. Asking again will not change the answer.

good about the parental rights decree, (y)

So you legally work inside thailand on a salary of 40K a month? Because more and more offices will not let you use 40k baht of overseas income by international transfer as a means to meet the proof of funds

yeah unfortunately it is from outside the country

I got the non o online and it is valid until October 20 something

This coming month is the only free time I've had to go through this process as I've been travelling and just returned since the initial stamp in July.

remember it's not the visa validity you need to care about (that is only the length of time you have to ENTER thailand on the visa) and when you do you get stamped in for 90 days.

once you entered the country that visa was used and it's the 90 day entry stamp you got when you stamped in that lets you stay here now (you have until the date that stamp runs out to apply for a year extension)

90 day Non O for support of a Thai is obtained outside of Thailand. Did you get this? If you want a 1 year ext. Its based on supporting a thai child. You have to 400kthb in the bank. Do you have a thai bank account?

I got and came in on the 90 day

Now planning to do the next steps

Not 400k but I did read that 40k monthly income will suffice

I'm not sure you can the 40kthb method in the first year, you cant on some other visas. If someone knows on here thats fine if immigration can help. In addition to financial proof, other document proofs include:

The passport of the applicant with all relevant visas, stamps, and TM6 departure card,

The child's Thai ID card and house registration (housebook),

Evidence of parental rights such as a court order or marriage certificate,

Photographs of the applicant and child,

The submitted TM7 extension of stay form and TM30 residence notification.

But again immigration can confirm

you might find that the 40K baht by international transfer will not work, and you cannot show proof of funds in your country,

In fact most offices only let the monthly income method be allowed if you work inside thailand

Better to get the list from your local immigration office where you will make the extension.

Do you mean your Thai children or wife?
Brett *********
Have you asked the Immigration Office what their local requirements are? Because each office might vary.

the requirements are a little more documentation than a spouse visa but the banked 400,000 baht is the same. There a few more proofs than what you submitted for the 90 day Non-O

There is no 1 year extension for visiting family?
