First you don't have a one year anything, you are on a 30 day under consideration stamp it would appear 🙂
What lets you get back into the country is the re-entry permit expiration date
SO how about you look at the re-entry permit stamp and see what the valid until date is?
you have to enter ON or before that date to get stamped in and you will only get stamped in until your current stamp (the under consideration stamp) is valid for
SO you can't enter AFTER that date. It's not relevant at all when you can show up at the immigration office to get the new year extension stamp inked in. That has no bearing on you comin' back IN to the country before your current stamp/re-entry permit runs out
And the fact you got a new passport has nothing to do with it, other than they'll stamp you in on the new passport and you'll get all the stamps moved when you show up at the immigration office on Tuesday the 15th of Oct.
this is a GENERAL LIST of requirements to get a year extension based on being over 50 (retirement) it is not office specific but it will get you in the ball park as far as what is likely to be required
That is why I said go to your office and get their hand out 🙂
okay now that we know what you're trying to do, this is how you do it, you get a thai bank account and get 800K baht transferred in as soon as you can, those funds need to "season" (stay in the account) for 2 months before you can apply for the year extension at the immigration office where you stay.
You need to get the hand out from the specific office where you stay listing all the documents, copies, etc you need to get the year extension. You can do that before you leave OR when you come back
Totally not uncommon at all to make you enter on a valid visa if you have one as the officer is under no obligation to let you enter free stamp, so your airport experience was typical and not unexpected.
What was the reason you thought you were going to get an extension on your 90 day single entry Non-O visa for? I ask because there is only a one year extension or a 60 day visit thai family extension (if you're married or have thai children) available.
You could buy a re-entry permit either at your immigration office or at the airport when you leave the country. Then when you come back in you would get stamped back in for the remainder of the original 90 days you got when you entered on the Non-O (remember a re-entry permit doesn't add any time to your stay just lets you exit/re-enter and keep that original entry stamp expiration date)
Then once you're back in the country you can apply for what ever extension you were thinking you could get. There is no requirement to have so many days left on your 90 day entry stamp to apply for an in country extension, you can do it right up to the day that 90 day stamp expires without any issues
nope the DTV is a Visa it is not an extension so they do not transfer that passport to passport you show the proof that you had the passport it was issued under and then stamp in on the new passport
You won't have any problem. You can just make a copy of the data page of the old passport, the PDF print out of the DTV and present those with your new passport when you stamp in.
That should be enough to show you used to have the passport the DTV was issued under and now you have this new passport.
Make sure you do the TDAC with the new passport number too.
