I intend to enter Thailand with an approved visa. All my documents are scanned and not physically printed.
Could this be a problem when entering Thailand? Should I print everything? Or is it enough for them to be scanned and I can show them from my mobile if they ask?
Hi everyone, I need help with a DTV-related issue 🙏
My boyfriend is currently staying in Thailand on a DTV. He works remotely for a company based in Luxembourg, but he’s living in Thailand.
Recently, his passport with the DTV visa stamp got damaged in the washing machine 😭😭 — the visa page is now blurry and unreadable. He has another valid passport, and we’re planning to travel to Moscow next month.
He wants to come back to Thailand in September, but we’re unsure what to do now that the visa is unreadable.
❓ Has anyone dealt with a damaged DTV stamp before?
❓ Can he transfer the visa to the second passport, or does he need to apply for a new one?
❓ Should we go to Thai Immigration now before leaving Thailand? Or apply for a new DTV from Moscow or Luxembourg?
Any advice or experience would be really appreciated. Thank you!
I’ve enjoyed my first 60 days in Thailand, received my 30 day extension today. I will fly to Hanoi when my time is up. Can I apply for a Thai retirement visa while in Hanoi, or do I have to return to USA to accomplish that. Thanks.
I have very strange situation, my DTV is pending since 22nd April, 2025 and now on 8th July, 2025 it is showing pending approval. I sent three reminders with additional documents (which inlcude UK visit visa) but i have not received any reply. I read some posts which shows that after pending approval mostly applications get approve. I have applied from Embassy of Islamabad. My catagory might be change because i am self employed and provide legal consultations online to my clients.
I am travelling to UK, Serbia and Turkey in July. What should i do? Shall i go for vacation?
Shall i consider DTV approved or it can be rejected too. I have strong social media presence as well as requisite amount required for DTV lying in bank since last 2 to 3 years.
I am currently in Thailand on a visa exemption and planning to apply for the DTV. I'm wondering how urgent it is to apply.
So far this year, I’ve already used a visa exemption and extended it to 90 days. I left the country to the US and came back again on a new visa exemption, and I’ve now been here about 30 days. I'm going to Korea next week. Before all this, I also spent about 1.5 months in Thailand at the end of last year.
Can I return to Thailand one more time on a visa exemption, or is there a high risk that I’ll be denied entry at the border?
Hi. I'm currently in the UK but I have a Thai bank account which I opened on a previous trip. Hopefully within the next 6 months I'm looking to return to Thailand on visa exempt basis, do all the necessary paperwork to get married and then apply for a marriage visa in Thailand. What I'm trying to figure out is a back up plan if I run into any difficulties with the bank account. Mainly because I'm conscious that this time I would only have the visa exempt stamp in my passport. If the account is open and active (which I believe it is) then there shouldn't be a problem, I guess. But if there was, what are my options as I would not have an address to return to the UK at that point. Is it possible to travel to say Laos or Vietnam and obtain a non O visa to re-enter Thailand from there, and then use that non O to open a new bank account in Thailand? If this is an option, then what bank evidence could I use in Laos/Vietnam - as I guess I would only have my UK bank account. Would this work? Probably overthinking all of this but I have learnt in Thailand to always look at the 'what ifs'. Many thanks
Hi, As of July 1, 2025 - 4:15pm my DTV visa was confirmed via email. Clearly lost hope because it’s almost been a month. So confused and happy right now.
After how long should I enter Thailand? How many days is max ? So would it be a problem if I arrived in 10-15 days or 1 month later ?
Hi everyone….Is it correct that you can submit your electronic arrival card declaration no more that 72 hours (3 days) before your estimated flight arrival time….?
That is the estimated arrival time on your air ticket..?
So if you arrive at 10 am on a Wednesday …..for example….you can submit it only after 10 am on the Sunday…?
