For anyone who was concerned — I’ve just cleared immigration at Suvarnabhumi Airport for the sixth time this year. The officer greeted me with a big smile and stamped my passport without a single question. That brings my total stay this year to around 100 days, never exceeding 25 days and always returns to my home town.

Conclusion- if you are a legitimate tourist, there is no need to worry about the new immigration rules .

Hi, I would like to ask about the DTV visa. I am planning to travel to Thailand in June, and I have already purchased my ticket. If I apply for the DTV visa in February and it gets approved, is there a time limit for when I must enter Thailand after the visa is approved?

Hello, I would like to ask for some advice.

I arrived in Indonesia on the November 27th. I applied for the DTV visa on December 1. On December 12, the Embassy requested additional documents. On December 18, I received an interview email, and I attended the interview on December 19.My Current status is Pending Approval after attend the Interview.

My current visa will expire on the 26th Dec, so I am feeling very unsure about what to do next. I am wondering whether I should email the Embassy to inform them that my visa will expire on the 26th and politely request an update on the result.

Since December 25 is Christmas and a public holiday, I am also unsure whether any emails will be received or replied to.

If it is appropriate to contact the Embassy, I would like to know which email address I should send my message to. I would also like to ask whether it is possible to extend my visa here in Indonesia.

Thank you very much.

Hey

I applied for a multiple entry tourist visa over 2 weeks ago and still haven’t heard back from the embassy. My flight is in 4 days and I do have 60 day visa free entry.

Does anyone know what happens if I just go without the visa and then the visa gets approved while I’m already in Thailand? Would I need to leave and re enter to activate it?

Hey everyone 👋

I posted a few questions here quite a while ago. As it usually goes in groups like this: I got a lot of genuinely helpful and solid replies — and of course a few… very confident ones 😉

Overall though: great group, thanks a lot, especially to those who also reached out privately with useful tips.

That’s why I’m posting this not anonymously. If anyone has follow-up questions, feel free to message me privately — just like I did back then. I didn’t follow every single suggestion, but I did apply several of them.

Quick update on the visa process, as this seems to be relevant for many:

I submitted my application in Hanoi on Thursday at noon and received the approval email about two hours ago.

👉 Thai E-Visa DTV approved.

Important detail: no follow-up questions at all. No additional documents, no back and forth.

The status already changed to “Pending Approval” on Friday, and after that it simply went through.

Timeline wise:

Thursday submission → Friday working day → Monday working day → approved today.

Whether you count Thursday or not — in total it was around 4 working days in Hanoi.

Honestly: super smooth and very easy process.

For full transparency — before any unnecessary comments come up 😉

I did this through an agency.

Total cost: around €500, including visa + agency fee. That’s it.

Four working days later, DTV approved.

Of course, everyone can (and should) decide for themselves whether they want to do everything on their own.

For me personally, those few hundred euros were 100% worth it — saving time, stress, and potentially extra days in the country.

Hope this helps someone 🙌

My DTV Visa was issued online through the Los Angeles, CA Royal Thai Embassy.

Do I have show anything more upon arrival in BKK?

I just arrived from Taipei to Chiang Mai 12/13/26 11:00.

The airport was not crowded.

Immigration had many officers waiting for us.

I showed the officer my DTV Visa stapled in the passport.

He asked no questions, smiled and said “ Welcome to Thailand."

I checked my passport and was correctly stamped in for 180 days.

NOTE: there was a typed document in multiple languages pasted on the immigration window saying, “Please show your hotel or address where you will be staying".

Remember this is one of the "3 Proofs"that we hear about. I was not asked but I had a reservation for a $4 hotel.

How many of you remember the other 2 "Proofs"?
