If you are applying for DTV from Vietnam, and for some reason you are rejected can you still enter Thailand on the 60 day visa exempt etc. I cant see why you wouldn't be able to but just wondering.
Back Story - I will be headed to Thailand in November and will travel with my daughter to Vietnam to apply for the DTV ( soft Muay Thai) then once approved will head back to Thailand with her before heading home
I’m coming to thailand from the uk on 26th October for 90 days , I see I have to go online to fill in I assume a questionnaire so that my arrival will be a straight forward process, I see it has to be done within 72 hours of arrival , I’ve never done it this way in the past , it is a straight forward online form to fill in & do I need to download a copy or is it automatically sent to the airport awaiting my arrival electronically, thank you for your time and patience
I got DTV for about 1 year now, had to get a provisional passport a month ago in order to proceed my travel plans. Coming back with my provisional passport soon to Thailand, will they come up and ask some "weird" questions, or showing them my old 32-page-passport including DTV visa will be fine and I will get easily back?
(German passport if that matters. Anyone made experiences with provisional passports+DTV?
My Thai wife of 14 years would like to visit our Thai family in November for four months with a visit to Vietnam, it is about 120 days we will be there for.
What is the correct visa to apply for, I have checked the Thai Embassy website but I am still unclear as I want to make sure I apply for the right visa. We are currently residing in the UK.
This is quite an unusual application I guess so thought to share.
I got my DTV from London about a month ago, I'm a UK citizen. My partner is from Philippines, she has just been granted a DTV too, application in Manila.
We are not married, and she has not got the funds in her account. I wrote a sponsorship letter and provided proof of our relationship (3 years, lots of photographs and history of communication). Both on soft power (cooking class in Chiang Mai), also sent lots of evidence of my time in Philippines (passport stamps), and copies of my finances.
Approved in 6 working days after request for some secondary info (not complicated).
Any questions then fire away. I'm happy to answer anything if it will help other people.
Hi! Just wondering if the authorities have started to make it a little bit easier ( less onerous) when applying for a METV? I applied on Monday night, just before midnight, UK time. Previously I seem to remember having to complete lots of boxes/info etc but this time round it really was quite a simple process. I gave my flight details, address, bank statement and proof of address. I said I wanted to stay for 60 days ( following advice online). Nothing else was asked from me. No return flight etc. I paid £150.00 and fully expected to be asked for further details. But nothing else was asked. I was actually expecting to just get a SETV. Imagine my surprise/ delight/shock when I received my METV yesterday evening! Absolutely blown away by the service. Can't wait to fly out in 2 weeks time. 🙏🎉
I've just received my new passport, because the old one has expired. The embassy officers intentionally damaged the old one - they cut it and punched holes in it. Is it like it should be done? Will the Thai officers at the airport understand it?
