Hi last year I arrived to Thailand on a tourist visa exemption for 60 days on December 2024 and got a 30 day extension for 30 days from immigration and left Thailand to Australia on the end of February 28… now I will come to Thailand on 7 December on a 60 day visa exemption and extend for another 30 days from the immigration office is this going to be a problem? i want to stay 90 days total and leave to Australia again on February 28th I have hotels booked and also have a condo there I also have a flight booked back to Australia Thank you appreciate your help and time also is it per year or per calendar year ?

I am coming to Thailand for the first time this year i plan on useing a 60 date vida exempt for about 66 day then going to the philippines for about 10 days then hopefully getting another 60 day visa exempt my question is would that count 1 for 2025 and one for 2026 or I won't be able to do that

- Monday 10th of November : 10,000 THB paid at consulate in Vientiane 💸

- Tuesday 11th of November (mid day) : additional documents requested (picture for me + picture and 3 months finance evidence for Nathalia) 📸

- Tuesday 11th of November (evening) : interview scheduled for Friday 14th of November at 9:30. 🎙️

- Friday 14th of November : 10:00 interviews. 5mn questions : name, job, show bank account 🤝

- Friday 14th of November : 11:45 Visa approved ✅🥳🇹🇭✨

4 days between payment and approval ⏳Process was smooth and easy. Interview was 5mn with simple questions. While applying for the visa I made a PDF document showing that we were digital nomad since 2021, traveling full time and working for 2 companies remotely. We are content creators on social media and authors for Lonely Planet. Showing the last 3 months of our bank account. DTV visa extension has been a nightmare, and I can see that I am not the only one who is having/ had this issue. I am wanting to do a border run (possibly Singapore over night or Malaysia land crossing). Does anyone know if there is a minimum you have to stay away from thailand for on the DTV? or can you just simply fly over night and thats ok?

Or the land crossing, has anyone done this?

Arriving next week on a DTAC, total length of trip is 21 nights, I was intending to spend all in Thailand but now plan to visit friends in KL for 2 nights, returning to BKK to fly home.

Will I need a second DTAC?

My passport expires in 2027. Should I renew my passport (10 years validity) then apply for DTV? How much hassle is it to have DTV attached to an old passport? Just have to bring 2 passports every time you enter Thailand?

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know what the earliest date is that you can apply for a DTV visa? I’ve been trying to find a clear answer online but there doesn’t seem to be any concrete information anywhere.

It seems like the tourist visa can be applied for up to 3 months before your intended arrival, but I’m not sure if the same rule applies to the DTV visa.

Has anyone here already applied or been approved who can confirm?
