Just been to Bangkok Bank in Udon Thani and asked for a simple bank account. I had my passport and 90 day retirement visa and driving licence. I’m 56 and retired and in a relationship. My girlfriend rents a home nearby. I was told that I also need a TM30 stamped at immigration office and long term rental agreement. She also tried to sell me Insurance for 50k baht for 12 months, as she said it would help my application. This is just a post for information purposes but feel free to add comments that may help!
Hi all... I got my initial non O 3 month visa for retirement with little hassle. Is it harder to get the 12 month extension afterwards. I fufill the financial requirements but have read of people having complications such as home visits etc. I'm applying in Chiang Mai.in case it varies region to region. 🙏🏼
Hello, I have question to current DTV holders. Retirement Visa holders should report re-entry and pay re-entry fee when leave Thailand, otherwise the visa will be lost. The DTV holders also should report re-entry(and pay re-entry fee)?
If you don't want to show 400,000 for marriage visa...I heard that Savannakhet has multiple entry visa for 1 year, is that 1 year visa still available?..or is there any other option to stay in Thailand with wife...thanks..
Hi. I am asking for my wife. She is spanish and actually on a visa exempt. We would like to do the marriage visa ( I am thai national ), the tabien baan is in Bangkok. Is possible for her to apply in a different Immigration other than Bangkok? If someone know about any reliable agent that could help with all the paperworks and make it smoother process, that would be really apreciated. Thank you
Is it a mistake to use my Thai bank account to show proof of funds, instead of one from my home country? I’m aware it could highlight that I’ve essentially been living in Thailand for the past six months (on visa exemptions), and that I’ve had a Thai account for four years now (I’ve been on various visas). My passport stamps tell the same story, however.
