Hi everyone

Me and the Mrs intend to retire somewhere around Hau Hin. This is the plan when I retire at 62 in April 2027.

We will have £400,000 approx from our UK house sale and I will have a pension of £12,000 per annum until we receive our state pension in 2032.

We intend to use this money combined to live and rent.

We are coming for a three week visit next March, is there anything we could be doing in March to get the ball rolling.

We intend to use agents to sort everything out for us so any recommendations will be welcomed.

We realise our plans are in the future and things change but we feel any knowledge is better than non.

Thank you in advance for any help given.

Ok tried searching the group and asking friends and still get answers all over the place.

US guy (me) married to dual US/Thai woman (my wife).

She has her Thai ID still in her maiden name and two passports in married name.

She has her Tabien Baan.

For me to apply for a non-o based on marriage, do we need to get our marriage docs certified in Thailand?

Or can I apply for a non-o based on marriage using our US-based marriage certificate as "proof of relationship to a family in Thailand"?

Hello community, how are you? Do you know what I mean by work documents? I applied in Hanoi, Vietnam. I've already uploaded my pay stubs and employment contract, but I don't know what else to upload. I also work freelance with clients in the marketing department and have contracts. Should I upload that too? Should I write a letter explaining the situation? This would be the third time they've asked me for more information.

For annual Non-O retirement extensions at CW, does immigration accept the black & white printed version of the 12 month bank statement requested for free via the Bangkok Bank app and sent to your email? Or does one need the 12 month bank statement on original blue letterhead requested at a Bangkok Bank branch for Baht 200 which takes a week to process? Many thanks.

I can’t believe I’m still confused after so much reading and inquiring. I’m in the USA and planning to apply online for a 90-day non O “retirement” visa.

I thought there were no “bank account” requirements to accomplish this first step. I understand the 800,000 baht seasoned for two months in a Thai account for LATER but if proof of funds IS required just to get the non O visa can somebody please clarify that for me? Yes, I can research elsewhere but I prefer hearing the details from people who really know the facts. Thanks.
