My Portuguese passport with a Thai DTV visa was expiring, and Iโve just received a new passport. I was able to keep the old one, which has been invalidated by having the corners cut. The DTV visa is linked to that old passport.
I plan to travel to Thailand carrying both passports together with the DTV visa. Has anyone done something similar, or can share whether I might encounter any issues?
Thank you very much.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on traveling to Thailand with both an invalidated old passport containing a DTV visa and a new passport. Commenters reassure them that it should not pose any problems if they carry both passports and a copy of the old passport's data page, along with the DTV visa.
Thank you Tod Daniels and Vin Burnett for your contributions, I feel much safer now. I had to pay to keep the old passport, if knew I could use a copy of the data page I would have saved myself some money ๐ Great job managing this group Tod Daniels, really helpfull.
and you have an eVisa right <- meaning you got it by applying online thru the eVisa portal and the consulate emailed you the PDF once the visa was approved.
You won't have any problem. You can just make a copy of the data page of the old passport, the PDF print out of the DTV and present those with your new passport when you stamp in.
That should be enough to show you used to have the passport the DTV was issued under and now you have this new passport.
Make sure you do the TDAC with the new passport number too.
nope the DTV is a Visa it is not an extension so they do not transfer that passport to passport you show the proof that you had the passport it was issued under and then stamp in on the new passport
