And as I was afraid, this thread devolved into a "problems moving money via WISE" thread, and how you move your money here to meet proof of funds via monthly transfer is NOT anything to do with visas/extensions etc. .. ... 😕

You wanna talk about using WISE to move money go to the WISE Thailand group I linked to

Best of luck to everyone and the O/P as well

You need to have 65K baht per month, each month, every month for the previous 12 months to use monthly income by international transfer method for proof of funds.

You can't miss a month and then make up for it on another month by doubling up. Unfortunately there's no wiggle room on that rule 😕

That's the problem with Wise, it's a cheap way to move money BUT many people are getting caught out with it now showing domestic transfer rather than international

You can go to the Wise Thailand group to talk about it, moving money here is beyond the purview of this group sorry

As people said, PREVIOUSLY in Bangkok at the main office at Chaengwattana you needed to have filed at least one 90 day report in order to get a certificate of residence issued

BUT

That rule was rescinded, and now you only need to have a TM30 filed showing you are registered as staying in Bangkok.

You go out to the main immigration office at the government complex (Building B) on Chaengwattana Road, you go to the 3rd floor and they have a special room now that only does 90 day reporting, TM30's and certificates of residence..

You fill out the form, provide the copy of the TM30, your passport data page, copy of your visa, your entry stamp pay 200baht and they mail the certificate to the address you're registered at on the TM30 in about 5 days <- they give you a receipt with the Thai Post EMS tracking number on it so you can track it too.

That's how it's done in Bangkok, other offices do it differently

IF it's your first ever yearly extension your 90 day report is due 90 days from the date they issue the extension

BUT

If you're just getting a new year extension (as in you're already ON a year extension and getting another one) getting a new extension doesn't affect your 90 day report date at all

It would still be due when ever it was due on your previous 90 day report slip.

Now if you got the "missing information" rejection did you make sure and put the new expiration date of your extension (or the under consideration stamp date) and did you get the address exactly as it's listed on your TM30 (notification of foreigner in residence) that you have filed? Those two systems cross-check against each other

When was your 90 day report date due?

I wasn't going to let this post on seeing as you don't say where you're applying for the Non-O visa (what consulate) 🙁 I declined the post, even messaged you but then say you didn't read the messages I'd sent you back in July 🙁

So guess I'll let it on the group give you the answer and hopefully you will check your message requests in messenger 😉

They want 3 months of bank statements when you apply for the visa online

BUT

most consulates (dunno if the one you are applying at or not is one of them) will accept the funds being in the bank on the date you apply for the visa and do not require the 400K to be in the account for the previous 3 months

I would say it will not work, you need to show statements/balance for the last 3 months just like they specify on the eVisa application.

I mean if that's all you have it's all you have, apply with it and if they need more documentation they'll email you a request for additional documentation.

You can post on the Aussie in Thailand f/b page and ask there, those people are dialed in to how both Sydney and Canberra consulates are

Takes longer to get the interview because BOTH Vientiane and Savannakhet have mandatory in person interviews at the consulates before they approve the visa

Some people reported a week wait (or more) for the interview after they submitted the application and then went in person to pay for the visa (which is another thing you have to do at those consulates)

I'd say plan on a 2 week stay and you should be okay

𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟲𝟬 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆?

Yep, just go apply for the year extension before your current stamp runs out

𝗔𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝟰𝟬𝟬𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝘁 𝘂𝗽.

That was a self inflicted fail 🙁 You need to have 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only when you apply for the year extension.

Now while it's not specifically written into the rule for extensions based on thai children that you need to have the 400K baht seasoned 2 months (like you do for marriage to a thai) SOME offices still require you have it seasoned.

That means; you first need to get the balance back to the minimum 400K baht and then you need to go to your immigration office and find out if your office requires the 2 month seasoning for raising thai child extensions.

Also while you're there get the hand out listing the requirements needed to apply for the extension (as it's not the same stuff you needed for the 60 day visit family extension)

𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗳 𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗳 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲? It's going to come down to whether you need the 400K baht seasoned 2 months for a yearly raising thai child extension. You can apply for the extension any time you meet the requirements before your current stamp runs out

The plan is good, that way you can get the initial year extension using banked money method and you will be transferring in the required 65K baht a month minimum to use monthly income method the following year for that extension

As far as the seasoning of the 800K baht banked money method works, you need to have the 800K baht in the bank for 2 months before you apply for the year extension. The 800K needs to stay in the account for 3 months after the extension is granted and then the balance cannot go below 400K baht the rest of the year <- so you can't pull that last 400K baht out of the account until after you apply for your following year extension based on monthly income by transfer method
Tod *********
Should have no issuee at all applying for the extension when you get back. There's no obligation to let the stamp run down to apply for an extension and in Bangkok you can apply for an extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp.

So get the re-entry permit, travel and when you come back get the documentation together to go apply for the year extension
