Hello everyone, I'm new to the group, so sorry if this question has been asked a million times already. Is there a visa that doesn't require 800k baht to be sitting in a Thai account for moths beforehand?
Getting yearly non B extension and there have been delays. the agent doing mine says that there was a shakeup in leadership or something at immigration, everyone is experiencing delays. Any truth to this?
Hi everyone! DTV work action was rejected at Hanoi Embassy.
I submitted my application on the 30.9, got 3 emails asking for further documentation.
Now, in my case I had a non B visa & work permit, all of which was cancelled, expired & company ownership transferred to someone else via the lawyer I worked with.
Provided all the needed documents (bank statement with the funds, company letter, company registration outside Thailand, proof of source of income).
Then they asked for further information about work permit & business registration in Thailand - provided that alongside the proof of transfer of ownership & cancelled work permit.
Yet, it was rejected saying “not eligible for DTV, please apply for non B visa & work permit again.” Which is not the route for me as I don’t have any company anymore in Thailand.
Anyone experienced similar challenge? Any advise?
Going to the embassy tomorrow to ask for clarification…
My WP32 has been issued, and I am currently in Laos. Could you please confirm that the application for a Non-B visa can now be fully completed online — meaning no original documents are required anymore?
In other words, I would just need to submit the application online uploading all requested documents, make the payment, and then receive the visa by email.
Good morning, my non-B visa expires on October 31, 2025. I made an appointment through the immigration website for renewal on the 31st. Is that correct, or will the officers cause any problems if I renew it on the same day? Thank you for your clarification.
So I basically have a non-B visa with work permit. I reminded my company a month in advance that I need the documents to extend my visa. But they delayed a lot as I am the first foreigner in the company and they do not know the procedures. I now have about a week to get my visa extended.
They are still trying to go through the normal route without a visa agent and I think they have the necessary documentations already. But they said that if the immigration officer requests for any additional documents, we may need to pay for a visa agent. They company expects me to pay for this. Is this normal? I feel like I would be paying for their mistakes as I reminded them a month in advance.
And what are the documents that are needed? Is it possible to get the visa extended within a week? O
What is the process of transferring a non b visa stamp to a new passport at chaeng whattana? Can’t find much information online. Has anyone done this recently? What documents do I need? Thank you. (Also how long was the queue for this service lol)
Hi everyone, I have a question about the DTV visa.
Right now, I’m holding a Non-B visa but I plan to quit my current job and switch to a DTV early next year.
👉 My concerns are:
• Could my history of having a Non-B visa be a red flag when applying for DTV ?
• What documents should I prepare if I want to apply under freelance/remote work? (I have some overseas transactions since I do some freelance tasks at my free time, but they’re not monthly. Would that be acceptable?)
• For bank statements: 3 months of stable statements from Thai bank. Would that be enough?
If anyone has gone through a similar situation or has switched from Non-B to DTV, I’d really appreciate your advice or review. Thankss🙏
The company I've been exclusively contracting for the past five years doesn't use/have a letterhead, they're also not very responsive to getting the business registration document either. It's a Japanese company - my boss is willing to sign a letter but without the letterhead it looks so unofficial.
Any advice? Is my 'employment' document looking a bit weak? I don't have payslips either. I have contracts, invoices, and receive a monthly bank transfer.
The ironic thing is I've never even lived in Japan and have been working remotely the entire time already. The idea of asking for permission to do something I've already been doing for half a decade is kind of crazy.
