Have any retirees with Non-O visa recently encountered any other cases of your Bangkok bank freezing your account? They require you to submit proof of address from your home embassy; lease agreements are generally not accepted.

Someone who gets a visa based on studying Thai boxing and is approved for 5 years... If he leaves Thailand after 6 months, travels to his country for a few months, and then returns to Thailand... will they ask at the entrance to see the course registration again?

For the proof of address, can I just use my bank statement (which I'm already using for proof of funds) to kill two birds with one stone?

I have just moved back to UK so don't really have any utility bills, staying with family.

Any ideas or suggestions please?

Hey everyone!

I'm about to apply to get my DTV, but am unsure of the following:

I hold 2 nationalities: a Latin American one and a European one.

All of my funds are in my native (Latin American) currency, thus showing my tax information, address, etc. of my home country. However, I consider the European passport to make a stronger impression and would get approved (hopefully) faster, but this is solely a belief, as I have no evidence.

The problem with applying with the Euro passport is that it would mismatch the currency, tax info, address, and others, so I'm quite unsure as to with which nationality to use.

Has anyone had any experience with this? What are your thoughts and recs?

Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know of any banks in Bangkok that doesn’t require certificate of residence ? I’m here on a Non-immig -O 90 day visa. I know Chiang Mai doesn’t require it. Thanks!

Hello 👋

I will be applying for my DTV next week.

I'm currently in Bali and have been here for 4 weeks and I'm staying with a friend who has residency here.

For my proof or address and location etc, will I give my parents address back in the UK as my legal address, and also give my friend's address? Will she have to write a letter to prove that I'm staying with her?

I did stay in a few hotels in Bali a couple of weeks ago, should I provide these too?

Thanks for your help.

Anyone made a new retirment visa in Bangkok or any other place except Pattaya without using any private office ( directly in the immigration office).

Q- what were the requerments ( especially the proof of adress ) and how much it cost you ?
