Hi. Question about the proposed changes to the LTR visa (pensioner). Is it true that the current proposal states - "...no cap on the number of dependents—including spouses, children, parents, and legal dependents (previous cap was 4 children under age 20)."

TLDR : Answer Summary
The proposed changes to the Long-Term Resident (LTR) visa have already become law as of February 4, 2025. This includes the new provision that allows for an unlimited number of qualified dependents, which includes spouses, children under 20, parents, and legal dependents of the primary LTR visa holder, removing the previous cap of four children.

.
The legitimate spouse, parents, children under 20 yrs old and legal dependents of the primary LTR Visa holder can qualify for a dependent LTR visa. There is now no limit to the number of qualifying dependents.

While I am loathe to believe AI when it comes to almost anything to do with entry/visa/extension information to thailand (because of the plethora of bad info out there that's been repeated so many time AI thinks it actually true 😮 )
This does appear to be the changes they implemented

There's no proposal. These changes went into effect in February. You're way behind the news.

Did you contact the LTr issuer to ask about any proposed changes ? That would be the best source to confirm any proposed changes.
