Hello, Is it possible to go to immigration after only two weeks in Thailand with "non o for retirement" and get the one year extension because the funds in bank account are over a million since a year already? or is there a minimum number of day of being in Thailand before a one year extension can be stamped ? thank you all
My husband and I, from New Zealand, would appreciate recommendations for good Visa Agents in Hua Hin, or possibly Bangkok, to assist us in managing our visa process for retirement in Hua Hin.
Given the number of difficulties that so many people appear to be experiencing at present with either IO’s or banks we’ve decided we would prefer to spend the money on an agent to make sure the process is “watertight” and goes smoothly. As such we are keen to hear from those who have recently used agents to assist in their visa matters.
We think at present that we should look at coming in on the Non-O and will require multiple entries arrangements as we will make about three trips annually given we have family living in both NZ and Dubai that we will want to visit each year-at least while we are able.
Ages 64 and 57.
Have finances sorted to meet Non-O criteria.
Have also “tested the waters” in Thailand over the past three years to determine if right for us. Hua HIN definitely our favourite.
Firstly, I apologise as I’m sure this question has been asked to 100 times, I’m new to the game. I am in Thailand now and I was misinformed (back in the UK) that I could apply my retirement visa while I’m in Thailand, a since being told by immigration that I would need to leave the country, I could go back to the UK or to a neighbouring country such as Laso and apply at the embassy there. My worry is if I apply there and I am denied my retirement visa and only get a re-entry visa for seven days, so I have two questions:
1. Would I stand more of a chance getting a 60 D re-entry visa if I was to fly out of the country if I am refuse my over retirement Visa?
2. Would my last three bank statements showing more than 65,000 but going into the account over the last three months be sufficient for the Finance side?
Hi , I arrived in Bangkok yesterday after successfully getting a 90 day METV online from the Thai embassy in London last month. The immigration officer stamped TR 60 in my passport. Does that mean I have to leave after60 days just like visa exempt or can I extend it to 90 days or even better can I convert it to a retirement visa before the 60 days runs out? Please help me out as I’m confused with the whole immigration process and want to do it properly. Thanks
Hi everyone! I am posting anonymously as my work situation is uncertain and I do not want to share it with colleagues and others who know me.
We are a family of 3 and I am currently on work visa while my partner and child are on dependent visa. We are looking at plan B options as we want to remain in Thailand for another year at the bare minimum. So, I am reaching out to you:
1) if anyone tried the Long-Term Resident Visa (as highly skilled professional) and could share your experience?
2) which visa options you tried in a similar situation.
Have herd on a page yesterday that bank accounts need to be opened for 6 months before they will issue a financial letter for immigration for a extension. The person will now have to leave the country and obtain a new Non O visa.
Although it doesn't break immigration rules by having your money in for 2 months.
Does anyone know how true this is. I am going to hopefully have a married visa and hopefully the bank will look different on a marriage extension, then the retirement extension.
