Will I have issues applying for a new Non-B visa if I didn't cancel my previous one?

For anyone who's experienced with this topic:

· My 3 months Non B visa was expired on August 26 and I didn't cancel it on the immigration here in Bangkok.

· On the same day I did border run to get 60 days stamp.

· Not sure if my employer had already cancelled my work permit but it was due to expire next year

Question: If ever I applied for a Non B visa again with a new employer, Visa extension and work permit, will I have problems? Because I read a post about immigration making him pay 20K THB when he did 1 year visa extension for his job with new employer because he didn't cancel his 3 months non B visa when he ended his job with former employer. Does anyone have similar experience with this? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on potential issues related to a previous Non B visa that expired without cancellation. They completed a border run to obtain a 60-day entry stamp and are uncertain if their previous work permit has been canceled. They express concern over potential fines or complications when applying for a new Non B visa with a different employer. A commenter clarifies that exiting the country for a border run effectively cancels the expired Non B visa, and fines are typically associated with not canceling an extension of stay.

I think you read that post wrong 😮

First when you went to the border exited/re-entered you did NOT get a visa on arrival stamp 🙁 You got a free entry stamp (visa exempt) for 60 days 🙂

Now as to your question;

If you (or anyone) was on the original 90 day entry of a Non-B visa and you exited the country that "cancels" it.

The only time people are fined is for not cancelling an 'extension of stay' <- which you get after the 90 day Non-B runs down

You're okay there is no fine involved in your scenario.
