Hello all,

I have a question about address information on Thai E-visa website show in the picture.

I plan to apply for the visa in Vietnam, but I am from USA. Do I put in the address of the hotel I stay in vietnam or my actual adress in USA?

Thanks

DTV approved today from Vietnam HCMC!!! I’m so happy!

I applied as a freelancer on Tuesday morning and received the e-visa this afternoon (by e-mail).

They asked 3 times for further documents (on Tuesday afternoon, this morning and this afternoon).

So it was stressful. I am finally feel relieved.🙏

Ok, so now the Thai embassies and consulates in Cambodia, Malaysia and Vietnam have switched over to the e-visa system.

That means you must apply online to use one of those places. You will no longer be allowed to attend the embassy or consulate in person.

As for them the system is new we won’t have any information about typical processing times for a while yet.

If you’re applying through one of them soon then please post your experiences here so we can try to gain an insight.

A lot of people are worried about if you need to apply in your home country if it’s E-Visa. Don’t worry you can apply anywhere. I have been applying for tourist visa to Thailand since 2023 in China. But i am from Africa but i live in China. You just need proof of residency. Your visa doesn’t matter whether it’s long term visa or tourist. Last time i applied for my friend who can to China on tourist visa and he got accepted. His visa was only left with 8 days at that time. Some hotels can actually help you register to the police if you want

Received my 5 year DTV approval yesterday via email!

Submitted 24/09/24 via Thai E-Visa website, received in 3 days.

US Consulate - Los Angeles , I am American citizen

Paid: $400 USD

Documents provided:

Proof of location: State drivers license

Proof of funds: One month bank statement showing beginning and ending balance of $18,000 USD + 401k quarterly statement showing balance well over that amount. I did redact account numbers and sensitive info by crossing off with marker

Proof of remote work: I have an LLC, submitted business license from Secretary of State as well as typed Remote work policy that I signed as Managing member of the LLC. I will include full remote work policy doc.

That's it, they did not ask for any further docs, just approved it. Couldn't be happier :)
