OptimisticSeahorse231 not in thailand you can't, the DTV is an employment prohibited visa class (you can work for companies OUTSIDE the country but can't generate any income from inside the country)
Face it, you're a good ways away from setting up a business, so there's no gun to your head to switch visas so you can work inside the country.
Take it a step at a time, get the business set up, THEN worry about switching from a DTV to first a 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai, and then to a year extension for the same reason.
Anonymous participant 778 totally NOT correct 🙁 nothing in the rules about the issuing of a DTV says you can't have a bank account in thailand OR that you can't show proof of funds FROM that thai bank account for the DTV
The UK passport office doesn't have anything to do with your thai stamps so they wouldn't really say anything about it when you got a new passport.
You are here on a 30 day extension from a free stamp entry so show both passports when you stamp out of the country on your international flight, they'll stamp you out on the new passport and make a note you entered on the old one. Then you just show the new passport from then on
For domestic travel no one will care when you check in about where your stamp is
- Look at your VISA, it will say "Multiple" by the No of Entries <- that means the visa is good for unlimited entries during the 5 years it's valid for
- Each entry gets you stamped in for 180 days (just like when you showed up Apr 5th and were stamped in until Oct 2nd)
- When you leave the country the entry stamp cancels
- When you come back to thailand you show the DTV print out along with your passport and you will get a NEW 180 day entry stamp.
