My personsl experience.

OK just flew in on 60 day visa exemption.

The landing card completed fine.

I was questions by the IO on how long I was staying.

They asked where I was going and I presented an invitation letter from my fiance detailing where i would stay and scans of her address book and her identity card. They gave a little nod and finally checked where I was staying that night before my flight to phangan in the morning. Then stamped it.

Overall about 3 minutes, but I believe facilitated by clear paperwork.

The adage better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Fir reference I spent 39 days in September to October 2024. And 30 days February to March 2025 before this trip on may 15th.

I have a 52 day trip planned for September but I am going to apply for a proper tourist visa as it may save hassle with visa exemptions

If on a 60 day visa exemption and you send your copy and application off, for a UK passort renewal. Can you still get a 30 day extension with the old passport, incase the renewal takes longer than 60 days?

Hey everyone. I'm currently in jomtien and want to extend my 60 day visa exemption by 30 days. I've done this before in bangkok by myself and it cost just 1900 baht at immigration. I got quotes of 4500 and 4900 by visa agents here to avoid queues. Then i went to immigration here and the 'yellow shirts' there quoted me 4000 to take care of it. This still seems like a lot. The reason they gave was that they need to get me a TM30 (residence form, I'm staying in a hotel) approved by immigration. Can anyone confirm this is true or am i better off just doing it myself? And do i need a tm30 and how do i get it if i do (from the hotel?)? I don't remember needing a TM30 when i did it in bangkok.

Good morning,

My 60-day visa exemption expires on March 29th. For personal reasons, I would be better off extending it in advance. If I extend it two weeks before it expires, will Laksi Immigration do it?

Is there anyone in the group who has extended it successfully in advance to a similar length of time?

Good day.

Went to get out 60 day visa exemption extended today for 30 days and it could not have been easier.

Went to Krabi Immigration office at 9am and it was getting busy already. We took with us photocopies of our passport and the visa stamp on our passport. We also took along a recent passport photo and 1900 bhats in cash.

The lovely lady there asssited us and we were then seated until we were call to the desk.

Easy peasy and it took us 30 minutes but we could see it could get busier as the day went on - by the way we are from the UK🙏🇹🇭

I visited Thailand end of Sept 24 - beginning Dec 24. 60-day visa exempt + 30 extension. Flying back to Thailand 02 Jan 25 - end of March 25. Any problems envisaged with Thai Immigration at the airport? UK passport holder. Thanks, and apologies if this too basic a question for this group.
