Hi, am looking for advice on a situation I couldn't find anything online on.
I've recently had to get a new passport in Bangkok as my old one had no more pages left. I had previously entered on the 60-day visa exempt stamp, then picked up my new passport in Thailand and my old one was made invalid.
My question: is it possible to get another 30 day extension on the new passport without leaving the country? I have a flight out of Thailand a week after the current stamp allows me and previously had no issues extending for 30 days but am unsure about the whole new passport situation. Has anyone else been in a similar situation?
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice about extending their 60-day visa exempt stamp after receiving a new passport in Thailand. Despite the passport change, they want to know if they can still obtain a 30-day extension without leaving the country. Community comments suggest that it is possible to extend the visa by presenting both the old and new passports at the immigration office, where officials can move the valid stamps to the new passport. Users also recommend preparing copies of relevant passport pages and a TM30 form for the extension process.
Just want to really check because the post is a little confusing.
You entered free stamps 60 days, you did not extend it, then you got a new passport, and now you want to go get the one 30 day extension you're allowed correct?
Why did you get problems with a 30 day extension? When you get your entry stamp the 30 day extension is virtually a given, very unusual even to be questioned.
As I read it they didn't have a problem they wanted to know if entering on a 60 day free stamp on one passport then getting a new passport inside the country would affect them getting the one 30 day extension the can get per free stamp entry
