@Daryl ******
once you know how to do it, there's no issue, it's that first time (for each of the processes) that can really frustrate a person 🙂

@Dennis ********
when thaiz add addresses in that system they put in the least information they can, and that makes them have to edit the address, filling out the complete address (like you would if you're mailing something to that address)

It's a common mistake I see happen a LOT

ANY foreigner thinking they're going to waltz thru this website is in for a shock, this is one of the most NOT user friendly websites in thai governmental thingz,

have your thai person go thru the user guide, SLOWLY, have them understand how it works,

It's a multi-step process

You make a profile

you ADD an address to that profile

then you can file a a TM30 on someone staying at that address

and after you save the data you need to search for it, view it, export it and print out the TM30 receipt.
Tod *********
you might be mixed up

when you go to the main TM30 website and click register it gives you a choice to select thai or foreigner when you register to use the system

yep, good that the aussie consulate(s) here will certify marriages from Oz,

@Norm ********
yep, your best bet is to get the marriage registered here (so that's out of the way) then when you're back in Oz (if you're going back soon) get a 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage online thru the consulate serving where you live there (NSW uses Sydney, everyone else uses Canberra) and come back in on the 90 day Non-O visa <- that will make it easier to open a bank account here

Sadly "quick questions" don't always equate to quick/short answers🙁

if you're asking can you use an Australian marriage certificate in country so you can get either a 90 day Non-O or a year extension based on marriage to a thai national that answer is no, just that auzzie marriage certificate isn't going to cut any ice 😮 It is a multi-step process you need to go thru to register the marriage of a thai overseas.

You have to first get the marriage certificate certified at your embassy (and if your embassy here no longer does certification of marriage certificates like the US and UK stopped doing) you have to send it back to Oz to get it certified by your 'state' and after that stamped by the Thai Embassy that controls your state (either Canberra or Sydney)

THEN

You have to get that certified marriage certificate translated into thai,

THEN

you have to get that translation certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

AND then finally

you and your thai bride go to a local Amphur (city hall) and register the marriage of a thai who got married abroad there. They will give you the Kor Ror 22 <- registration of thai married abroad document, and THAT'S what you need to apply for either an in country Non-O visa or a year extension from a 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai national at an immigration office inside the country

Now as far as proof of funds, seeing as you come from a country whose embassy here no longer issues 'affidavits of income from abroad' notary documents (stat decs), they stopped them at the end of 2018. Your only option for the initial 90 day Non-O visa or the first year extension based on marriage to a thai is via the banked money method and that requires you to have 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only. To get the initial 90 day Non-O the funds do not have to be "seasoned" <- meaning they can just be in the account on the day you apply for the 90 day Non-O visa,

BUT

To get the year extension from that Non-O visa once it runs down you need to have the 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the year. You need a detail transaction report from the bank covering at least 2 months, you need the 'standard bank letter' from the bank (stating your name, balance, account number and date, AND you need to update your bank book the date you apply for the visa/extension
Tod *********
Okay, now I know what you're asking

you are now on a 90 day Non-O entry stamp, and you can apply for a year extension any time you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp, <- that means from a month before the stamp runs out right on down to the very day the stamp runs out (which is not recommended 😉 )

As long as you meet the 2 months seasoning requirements on your funds in the thai bank account in your name only you can apply any time

missed the part where they said 𝗜’𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 didn't you 😛

There is no "work visa" what you're asking about is a Non-B visa <- the B is business,

IF you were only on the initial 90 days of the original Non-B visa (as in you hadn't extended it at the immigration office) you would just be able to leave the country and it would 'cancel' when you left

However, with that being said;

IF you were on an extension of stay (that you got after the 90 day Non-B wound down from the immigration office where you work/stay) you should have cancelled it before you left the country by taking termination paperwork to the office that issued the extension and cancelling it officially. Remember just stamping out doesn't cancel an extension based on employment.

There's NOTHING you can do about either an 'open' (uncancelled) extension OR a work permit (which needs to be cancelled at the Ministry of Labour).

Your employer can cancel your work permit without you, BUT if you're on an extension they can't cancel that because the extension stamp is in your passport out of the country 😕

You just come back in, show the print out of the PDF they emailed you when the DTV was approved <- that IS your actual visa, and stamp in on that.

If you left on an extension of stay without cancelling it when you stamp in on the DTV you should expect to be questioned a bit about it. Just tell them you will go cancel it at the immigration office that issued it.

There's nothing you can do outside the country..
