For the DTV Visa. Do you need to have 15k USD in the bank or will enough income be enough to get approved? My question is if you need both or will either one work?

Could someone advise me if this is going to be a problem I arrive in January on a 60 day visa exempt from the US. I plan on filling out the 30 day extension while I’m there but I’ve already booked my departing flight over 60 days 85 days to be exact is that going to be a problem with the TDAC or getting through immigration? 

I didn’t report after 90 days. Genuinely forgot…

Will this caused me trouble leaving the country or coming back in? Has anybody reported late after the 90 days? What should I do?

I just got my DTV, I am wondering what are the rules of leaving the country.

I just got approved December 22 and I might be flying to the Philippines to meet my fiance's family for New Years. Can I leave this soon after getting my visa? How often can I leave? Is there a number of times per year that I'm allowed to leave?

When saving money for a DTV Visa, does it all have to be earned income? Or can you get a loan?

If we obtain a DTV visa and leave the country after six months and then re-enter, do they ask for proof of remote work/work documentation?

And do they check whether you have 500,000 baht in your bank account?

I exited Thailand through BKK new automatic doors and I haven’t been given any DEPARTURE STAMPS.

It’s like I never left the country…

While I’m outside…

Normally when you exit they stamp with the departure date so that any future agent reading the passport can see you exited before your visa expire.

Is this normal ?

Hi everyone 👋

We are DTV holders and got our visas from our home country. In 2025 we have already flown in and out of Thailand 4 times. Each stay is usually around 3 months, then we fly to another country for a short holiday about a week and come back again.

By the end of 2025, our total time in Thailand will be around 240 days. We are planning to fly to Laos again in January and return after a week.

Just wondering if anyone here has stayed in Thailand for a similar number of days in 2025 and still had no issues re entering at the airport? We would really love to hear your experience.

We have 2 cats waiting for us in Bangkok, so we are a bit nervous about the possibility of being denied entry 😅
