It is very easy to apply at local Immigration for a 180 day Extension of Stay.

You just need to bring the correct documents to meet the requirements.

Cost 1.900 Thb>

Go to the local Immigration Office and ask the hand out with requirements and an appointment to do the application.

Go make the copies, check twice that all copies are there and go back on appointment date and time.

GentlePhoenix7380 This is Thailand not lots of countries.

Thai Immigration NEVER ask for return flights, they might ask for onward travel.

Normally only asked by airline companies to people willing to fly without visa.

Thailand Immigration CAN ask these questions to every visitor:

Not every visitor is asked to show all 7 points, it all depends on the Immigration Officer, but IF you get asked you have to show.

IT saves a lot of time if you are prepared.

1. valid and genuine passport

2. IF you got a visa issued, a print out

3. Print of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card tdac.immigration.go.th

4. the Boarding pass

5. Proof of onward travel within the period you get stamped into this country

6. Proof of accommodation

7. Proof of finance, 20.000 Thb (40.000 Thb for family) or equivalent currency in CASH.

And YES, as Immigation is the first line of defence, they can ask you to come aside for a further interview about your intentions of your visit.

On the one and only application website, the question is about INTENDED flights.

You approach this to think about a flight to Thailand, on a certain date, look if possible and just put that date in the box and below the flight number.

As it is intended you can change when ever you want without making a booking.

Same as accommodation, you can put in an address of the place where you might go to stay, it does not have to be a booked and pre-paid airbnb.

The application website has a user manual, try it out

Search on “inform date” only. If you did it today use today’s date - or use the date you filed it (up to 7 days ago - if prior to that you won't find it and will have to file again at

Your name will appear at the bottom along with a “magnifying glass” symbol.

Click on that. That will show a full page with your data. Down at the bottom is a button that says “export”. Click that. That creates the PDF format TM30 sheet that you can print.
