TLDR : Answer Summary
An Italian expat with a Non-B visa and work permit seeks advice on potential issues renewing his visa and work permit after a trip to Italy while holding a re-entry permit. Responses advise that renewing the visa and work permit should be straightforward as there are no new regulations imposed by immigration offices currently.

You can visit the Immigration Office and apply for a new 1 year Extension of Stay and you can visit the Ministry of Labor to apply for 1 year extra validity on your Work Permit,

Both offices did not announce any new regulations or requirements.

Ellie Takei If you are going to apply a new extension inside the country, I don't see any news abut that you would have problem with that because of the current health-related situation.

If you are going to get a new visa, it depends on where and when you apply.

Anyway, as always, all decision is on the officer's hand whom you are going to deal with.
