How was your experience entering Thailand on a Digital Nomad visa?

Dec 1, 2025

Arrived in Bangkok on November 29 for my second entry under the DTV Digital Nomad visa. I came in from Madrid after spending 90 days traveling through Europe and Latin America.

Entry was completely smooth—about 1 minute at immigration, no questions at all. Got the full 6-month stamp again. Sharing the update in case it helps others.

I'm not sure how that helps when a random IO is having a bad day. 😁

It has never been a problem to enter with a dtv visa. Don't believe the rumors that there will be problems. I've entered and left the country countless times and live permanently in Bangkok. I myself, and my friends in Bangkok, often travel for a few days to China, Laos, Bali, Malaysia, or Vietnam and return home to Bangkok two or three days later. It's all nonsense that's being spread about there being any problems.

Absolutely love this Visa. They let me work for my UK based company, they let me stay here six months and all I have to do is hop over the border and return for another 6 months and I have this glory for 5 years. For those of us who actually contribute to this countries economy using remote employment or businesses this visa is bloody amazing!. Ide say those who rely on scam agents and border hops should check out a nearby country. Laos was very easy to enter, as was Vietnam. And we all know from the paid influencer boom on YouTube that Cambodia are welcoming foreigners also. If you intend to live here the old ways with zero cash just goto Cambodia or Laos or Vietnam. If your actually able to help Thailand with your remote income get the Dtv

Good thing you checked the stamp today!

mistakes happen - they were shown my DTV as I handed it to them! Next time I know to check the stamp and so "no!!"

@Tony *********
you always check when it's handed back as you turn to walk away

Blimey - trip to the local VISA company, and they're changing it for me tomorrow, at a cost, so its dated for my exit flight on the 14th!

Nice passport. I’d like to have a motorcycle in my passport, too. ☺️

me too. I guess Spain is rightly proud of its motorcycle heritage. My past motorcycle I miss the most was my Bultaco Metralla.

@Jim ***********
never heard of it which is interesting...

Also didn't know that Spain was supposedly a popular touring destination for motorcycle travel from other countries?

Did they stamp you both in and out or were you able to use the new exit gates without getting a stamp in passport on the way out? (E.g. to save space in passport)
Steve ******
@Nick **********
use gates going out no problem
Alex ********
dont forget the 90 day check in
Jam *******
How have they wrote on your passport by hand?
Paul *******
@Jam ******
It's due to laziness...they should use the appropriate 180 day DTV stamp but some officers just write it in pen instead.
Frank-Steven ***********
@Jam ******
Normal. End date. DTV as visa category. EVisa as type of visa.
Simon **********
@Jam ******
mine is as well. Normal

@Jam ******

Yes! Apply a visa if wanting to linger in Thailand is important as tourist visa is only for short term stays! Cheers 🥂
