Most of the time I decline private messages of Thai Visa Members.

Why, because I think it is better for all to discuss in the group.

But this message I will share with you all:

Tod Daniels and Robert Lagas what a great piece of advice you gave me.... I arrived today with my brand new non imm OA visa at suburnami Airport... My visa number was mentioned on the T6.... The lady at immigration kept talking with her collègue next seat and handed me back my passeport and departure card with a 30 days exemption.... Thanks to your advice I checked it and got it corrected on the spot.... I strongly advise everyone else to just do the same. IO get so bored that they don't pay much attention after a few hours...

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares a positive experience at Thai immigration after receiving a Non-Immigrant OA visa, stressing the importance of double-checking immigration stamps to avoid errors. Various comments reflect on similar past experiences where users encountered mistakes or delays and highlight the need to verify stamp information immediately. Discussions emphasize that checking stamps should be a standard practice to prevent future issues.

Why anyone would not check the stamp that they receive in their passport is beyond me. I always check every time.

555 You are right there Robert :) I have checked my stamp at the airport and it has been wrong a number of times and had it corrected.

I think once we go through the "stamp correction" process at DMCW, we ALL learn our lesson! ;-)

I had a similar issue a long time ago. The IO did the same lousy correction with a pen. I thought it did not look very legit and asked the IO to make a new stamp, not to avail.

Came in yesterday myself on SIMILAR O visa 12 months multi entry, and was the immigration hall busy, luckily my Thai wife was with me so used the Thai check-in , the foreigner check in was trailing well outside the main hall , so I asked my wife to deal with the IO , who had the usual blank face, and her told her to remind the IO that my 90 day was

, still I checked & double checked the date before leaving the desk.... but rather painless 🙏🏼

@Robert ******
well same principle, in that I had a MULTI entry O visa based on marriage... my emphasis was on CHECKING THE DATE. So what I will do is modify my post to SIMILAR,

If you got 90 days it is not the same visa.

It always amazes me that the alteration is done by hand, rather than a new "admitted to" date stamp.

I got a new stamp (new date only, not full new entry stamp). Already happened twice
