The recent update on Thailand's Immigration website has been positively received, with users noting significant improvements over the previous version. Discussions highlight a particular change in the requirements for the Extension of Stay for Non Immigrant O visa holders, indicating that evidence of income may suffice without requiring a letter from the embassy. However, there are still some inaccuracies, such as the location of the Chiang Mai office.

Definite improvement on the old site, although they still have the wrong location for Chiang Mai office ;-)

That's okay the other site told us to go to Suan Plu which has been closed at least 5-6 years for foreigners (who aren't burmese, cambodians or laotian) to do anything at ;)

Just looking at Extension of Stay for Non Immigrant O, suprised to see this: husband earns an average monthly income of no less than Baht 40,000 throughout the year, such as any particular individual income tax return together with payment receipt, evidence of receiving retirement pension, evidence of receiving interest from funds deposit, or evidence of having other
funds issued by the relevant agency. Sounds to me no more letter from Embassy needed, if they can read foreign language payments and deposits.

I dunno how accurate that is because a guy I know who works here gets paid here in addition to providing his thai pay stubs, bank book etc also had to get a stat-dec from the Aussie consulate. :/
This was last week at Chaengwattana
