TLDR : Answer Summary
The question asks whether a TM 30 receipt can be obtained from the hotel where one is staying for a Non B visa extension in Thailand. Commenters explain that a physical receipt is not necessary if the hotel has completed the TM 30 registration online. One user mentions their successful experience with the process, which took only 20 minutes after making an appointment online, while another suggests asking the hotel reception for a printed screenshot of the submission.

You don’t need paper receipt as long they did it online. I just went and got approved 2 hours ago.
I made a appointment online so the process was about 20 minutes in total for me.
Obviously that is the best option. But worth knowing that you can get a TM30 receipt from immigration. They look it up of your passport number. Can't remember for sure, but I think they may have been a 'small' charge for the service.
You get the receipt from Immigration if the address registration is done in person. Hotels do use the on line system as it is more convenient and that requires a print screen.
My TM30 was definitely done on-line by the property manager. I had a copy of the screen print. Some months later it was just more convenient for me to get a written receipt at immigration. They simply punched in my passport number and wrote the receipt out.
Yes, Chiang Mai has a small office behind the main building that handles TM30's. Promenarda used to before it closed. I have been told that this office will reopen at Central Festival in the near future.
