TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around seeking reliable visa services in Pattaya for extending a DTV visa without leaving Thailand. Several commenters recommend local agencies, highlighting their experiences with both successful and costly options. While some suggest that the extension might be difficult without leaving the country, others emphasize the potential for successful in-country extensions if all documentation is correctly prepared. Various agencies and personal contacts are mentioned, with fees ranging widely based on service quality and location.
To extend you will need all your original documents updated, and an agent can't do that. They don't have any immigration officials bought off to do that.
Before asking this group, did you go to the immigration office?
I live in Bangkok, went to my office and extended my DTV (workcation) in a few hours.
Just go to the immigration... A lot of the people telling you it's impossible or too difficult didn't even step one foot in immigration office to extend their DTV.
Already 5 years gone the Visa? I thought DTV started 15.7.2024 🤔
Why you need to extension? But just use some service as tiktok jomtien if they can handle it. Beware to start paying taxes because staying in country more than 180 days
ArticulateLychee9084 Correct. And? What is your point? Leaving just before the 180 days, still make two entries roughly 360 days, which is obviously above 180 days, ooops.
And on a DTV visa you do not pay taxes, so the amount of days you are in country: is completely irrelevant.
dependant on tax laws with your country and Thailand you don’t pay taxes, and over 180 days you are liable on funds brought into the country regardless of visa!
I tried a few agencies and they were either overly expensive or said exactly what everyone is telling you, it’s easier to leave and come back. The immigration office here is apparently tough on the extension for dtvs and that came from an agent.
you are wasting your time. Take a bus to Nong Khai, cross into Laos, stay in Vientiane for 2 or 3 nights, Cross back into Thailand, get stamped in for another 180 days, and take the bus back to Pattaya. If you want to do a quicker border bounce, fly from Bangkok to Singapore or Vientiane or Hanoi, and back on the same day
Possible if you update ALL documents used in your initial application. For example if training in gym for Muay Thai you would need a fully paid up course for the extension period
I have someone in bkk do it for 10.000 so please stfu and collect contacts same me.. then u will not spread false Informations here with your „facts“ 🤣
TurquoiseOstrich6737 it’s not about paying man, the process of extending your DTV is more complicated than obtaining it, regardless how much you pay or if you are using an agency or not. Instead of being so stubborn and arrogant, just book a ticket to a neighboring country and leave
TurquoiseOstrich6737 Sorry but you're not likely going to be able to get the DTV extension in the Jomtien Immigration office.
Jomtien Immigration will encourage you to leave Thailand and reenter to get a NEW DTV 180 day stamp.
You must meet ALL of the requirements for the DTV visa when you originally obtained it AND must have a Thai bank account balance of 500,000 Thai baht or more.
The Thai Visa Agent cannot bypass the 500,000 Thai baht bank account balance nor other requirements for the DTV visa.
What was the purpose of your obtaining the DTV visa?
Workcation or Soft Power Activity?
What is your passport nation?
Do you have documented proof of your ability to support yourself in Thailand? There's too much work for them to do in processing a 180 Day extension of the DTV visa.
I can’t speak for others but I most definitely chose the right purpose of stay. I personally was told it is easier to just leave and return which is what I do. It doesn’t bother me and I just make a short vacation out of it. I cant speak for the others in here but I can say this is what I have been told and recently did.
It’s rare to find a visa agent that can extend. Most will suggest you leave and come back to a nearby country. I know you said you don’t want to leave but it’s more simple.
Useless answer i know already 🤗 i have dtv since nearly 2 years now… please just let me know when anyone know someone who can do it for 5000-10.000 baht 🤙🏽
TurquoiseOstrich6737 have you already obtained a 180 day extension before with the DTV visa?
I believe that you don't want to hear anything other than what you want to hear.
If we knew it was easy to get the DTV visa 180 days extension for 5 to 10,000 Thai baht in Jomtien Immigration, many people would do it. BUT it is not likely to happen.
U are a old man who dont know anything and u not have the Contacts i have. Like i said i have someone already who extend it for me for 10.000 in bkk and 18.000 in siracha and 25.000 in pattaya … im so bored of your „super smart“ answers who not help 🤷🏽♂️🤣
