Why did the police contact American expats in Thailand?
This was interesting, I got a call from the local police dept today. I am American and because of the issue in Iran they said they were checking in on anyone from the USA … found out there are 3 other USA citizens in our District. The call was legit, I thought it was a scam so I said I could not talk that I would call back. I had my Thai wife call and it was legit … turned out my wife and the officer knew each other from School … so I don’t know if I should be uncomfortable or feel more safe 🤷♂️ I wasn’t worried about anything before now I am not sure how I feel😂

yes we confirmed ✅ my post said when my wife called she knew the officer they had been in school together. No the head of the province wanted to touch bases with the 4 Americans in his Provincial Authority to check in and if they had any problems they had a contact at the PD. Sadao has a large and diverse Muslim community… very close to the southern border!Penny ******

no the officer was legit … they were making courtesy calls and let us no if we had any issues to call … he told my wife there were only 4 Americans in our area but there are many different people as we are near the southern borderJohn ********
