Hi All, I wonder if you can help me. I have been in Thailand for nearly a year now on a retirement multiple entry visa. Usually I don’t stay 90 days as I usually leave Thailand. But on this occasion I am not leaving. Can I file the report 2 days before the 90
Days is up when I entered into Thailand. I would appreciate some advice. Thank you
Hello! Question about 90 days report. My first 90 days will be March 10, I leave Thailand on March 16 for a week trip. After that I plan to come back and stay more than 90 days, I also plan to do a 90-day report and get a resident certificate => come to the immigration office.
Do I have to do TM47 now if I plan to leave country soon? Do they check TM47 for previous entries in the immigration office and will there be problems in the future if I don’t do it now?
I live in Bangkok, there are long queues in immigration office. I don’t understand if it’s worth wasting my time
To people that are border bouncing towards the end of your 180 days:
Do not fall into the trap of forgetting about your second 90 day report.
This is due 90 days after your first 90 day report which you likely completed before 90 days had passed, hence your second 90 day report will be due before your 180 day visa stamp expires.
If you are leaving the country within 90 days of your first 90 day report then you will be absolutely fine 👍
Hi all, I am returning to Thailand on the 24th of September, 2024 and have a visa extended on the 9th of December 2024. Today, when I went to do my 90-day report, I was fined 2,000 baht, and the officer said that the 90-day report date counts from the date I returned to Thailand, not from the date I renewed my visa. Is this a fact? I clearly remember the rule is to count from the date of renewing the visa. The same lady fined me twice for the same reason.
Certificate of Residence for a Thai driving license.
My understanding is that you need a Certificate of Residence as part of the documents you submit to get a Thai driving license.
I believe you obtain such a certificate from the Thai immigration. As I live in BKK, I assume I’ll have to deal with the Chang Wattana office.
- First question : Do I need to go there in person with all the required documents ( which I would like to avoid…) or can I send them all the required documents?
I saw some information on internet, regarding the documents you need to apply for this certificate. I’ve pasted the list below.
- Second question: Do I really need all the documents listed below ???
1. Residence Certificate Application Form in Thailand ( This is the TM18 form, isn’t it?)
2. Original passport (as well as a copy of the biodata page, current visa, most recent entry stamp, and TM.6 Card)
3. Receipt of 90-day Report Notification
4. A copy of your Address Notification Receipt (TM.30).
5. A copy of your house lease agreement and rental contract where you stay including:
– A copy of ID/Passport (if a foreigner) of the landlord
– A copy of the house registration book of the landlord
– A copy of the title deed to confirm who is the owner required if the landlord is not a household
6. One passport-size photo (white background taken within 6 months)
- Third question regarding the above item 5: I got the lease agreement, of course, but I don’t have the house registration book of the landlord, nor do I have a copy of the title deed. Do I need these two ?
I'm completely confused about the 90-day report process. I'm about to file my first one, but I'm hearing I need a white paper called '90-day report notice' that I wasn't given when I entered Thailand at Suvarnabhumi Airport on a DTV visa. Will I face problems without this notice? Can anyone explain this requirement to me and the exact documents I will need for my 90-day report process.
Can someone please direct me to the website for 90 day report? Can the first one be done online or need to be in person? I can’t seem to find it online unfortunately.
On another note, does the TM30 need to be done every single time by my landlord when I leave Thailand and come back from any overseas trip?
