Hi, I'm planning applying for a DTV from KL. So I'll spend a couple of weeks in a hotel there. Does anyone know if an invoice/receipt from the hotel is sufficient evidence of being out of the country? If not, what evidenec would work/

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,

I know it depends on the embassy, but I wanted to get some advice on my application for work Remote Work Visa (DTV). I just started a new job as an HR Manager on October 19, 2024, working fully remotely, mainly handling recruitment.

I’ve put together all the required documents for my application, including:

• NOC and Employment Certificate: Both outline my position, joining date, salary, and confirm that my work is fully remote. They also state that my company has no objection to me applying for the DTV visa to work from anywhere.

• Job Description: Highlights my remote recruitment responsibilities.

• Hotel Booking and Flight Details

• Bank Statements, Resume, and LinkedIn Profile: Showing my background, including freelance work and years in recruitment.

Since I’m new in the role, I don’t have a transaction from them yet to my bank . Do you think this is enough to make a strong application? Any tips or suggestions would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,

Stupid question but it's not very clear for me :

Once the DTV visa is approved, do I have to go to the nearest thai embassy / consulate to have the DTV visa in my passport?

Or do I receive a kind of digital visa via email (QR code or sth like this) that I need to print?

I ask because the closest thai embassy is 260 kms from my home 😅😅

So it would be good news if there's a digital version.

Thx for your help 🙏

Hi Brainstrust,

Question:

I have a DTV Visa and will be arriving into Thailand in November.

I do not have a return/departing ticket booked as I didn’t need to have or prove a return flight as part of the DTV application process.

Am I going to run into any issues at immigration when arriving in Thailand? Or does having a DTV exclude that requirement?

Many 🙏 thx

DTV APPROVED

London Thai Embassy

Applied 24th Aug

(Waited to finalise my flight booking)

Submitted flight booking 23rd Sept

Received 24th Sept

Documents required

Contract from company stating the right to work abroad.

Letter addressed to Thai embassy confirming my role and right to work abroad.

Bank statement with 500,000thb from ONE ACCOUNT. Statement PDF.

I had initially not attached flight info to the application as I applied with Pedang Besar as my entry. I then had to prove travel from London - Thailand (including any layovers) and show my flight ticket.

Visa was issued the following day after submitting my flight.

I applied last Wednesday. I got a visa today. The package of documents is minimal. All documents are color copies.

1) Application form

2) Photo

3) confirmation of stay in Cambodia - e-visa, stamp of entry, reservation of accommodation and e-receipt of payment for housing

4) bank statement, that my deposit balance is more than 500k baht

5) employment certificate

6) Notary translation from Russian into English Certificate of Legal Entity State Registration the company, I work for

7) a cover letter indicating the submitted list of documents and the transfer of money from rubles to baht and us dollars at the Google exchange rate on the day of submission.

Consular fee is $400. They accept ONLY new dollars, only hundreds, the old ones were not accepted.

Good luck to all those who apply!🍀

I have an appointment in 2 weeks to apply for my DTV in Ho Chi Minh. I have a couple questions and I would greatly appreciate the advice!

1) I have found from some snooping on this group that I will need to show a bank statement of THB 500k from the past 6 months but that it does not have to be the full amount. I have made the final deposit today to finally hit the 500k but I was only able to open this bank account back in mid May which was 5 months ago. Would that be an issue? I also plan to show a 6 month statement from my other bank account which has roughly around $7000 USD to date. Would this also be supplemental to the app?

2) Do I also need to show a return ticket or something that says I will leave Thailand again when re-entering BKK after Ho Chi Minh?

3) My CONFIRMED appointment date is October 2nd but I keep seeing that they will be switching over to the e-visa system in October but since I was able to get the confirmed appointment, I will just assume that the in-person application is still allowed?

I am stressing a bit about this so any peace of mind would be nice to have 😩😩

Thank you!!
