At least they did what they promised. More information about the Smart Visa will be given end of December.

If you find all the requirements or details of this Visa in the announcement you do a better search than me.

It is still unclear.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The upcoming Smart Visa in Thailand aims to attract highly skilled workers, investors, and executives in specialized industries. It is expected that only foreigners earning over 200,000 baht/month in fields like technology and healthcare will qualify. There are concerns that the visa's stringent requirements may exclude many traditional expats and digital nomads.

The requirements haven't been fully developed, but it's clear the only foreigners who qualify are investors, venture capitalists, highly skilled workers (accountants, industrial engineers, etc.) and high-level executives of MNCs. Digital nomads like digital marketers, drop shippers, webpage designers and other non-traditional workers will not qualify. I'm not sure why the DMs keep posting about the smart visa like it will be their long-term stay solution.

I don't know why people jumped on this visa as an option for the digital nomads because you couldn't find a visa class LESS suited for them :/
