I just entered the Kingdom (Swampy)on my O/A visa valid from 24th April 2019. The IO informed me that the next time I enter I will need the Thai Insurance. I did'nt want to argue with him and I just replied OK.
I thought that I could enter the Kingdom 23rd April 2020 and that I was good for 1 more year getting a re-entry permit if i left the country for the second year of the O/A
Comment from James Miller:
You should be OK...
It appears as though you were unlucky with the Immigration Officer who stamped you in...
as another poster also arrived at BKK yesterday and granted full year:
"Hi

I got a stamp until December 25, 2020.
No questions asked. Nothing."
