Why are some members frustrated with repetitive questions in Thai visa advice forums?

Dear Members,

I'm very bored reading a comment almost on a daily basis and just deleting it.

If you can only reply to a question of one of the members with:

They do not want us here, than follow your own thoughts.

Pack you bags and move to a country where you think they want you as a guest.

I'm so bored of this total bu....it, that next time I read this reply, I show you that you are not wanted on this page.

I delete the comment, use the exit button and goodbye for you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Members in a Thai visa advice group express frustration about the frequent repetition of questions, particularly regarding issues like the TM30 form. Some believe newcomers should search existing threads before asking, while others feel it's necessary for members to ask questions freely. The discussion highlights a tension between wanting to maintain quality and relevance in the group and ensuring that all members, especially new ones, feel welcomed and supported.

I close the commenting. IT IS NOT stupid to ask a question. Sorry but a page called Thai Visa advice means that we answer questions. If you think people are stupid by asking questions, you don't like to read a question more often you just use the SCROLL button and continue or go do something else. There are enough Facebook pages to read all kinds of other stuf.

Pin the most asked question to the top of the page and only the truly dumb will still be asking them. I think it will at least cut it down by 50%

Guess Robert Lagas just realized that those same, yet different, questions will continue to be asked?

and, there's that. this is the most confusing 2 me. rules differ on where u are. but, like anywhere else, you learn to live with it. i don't think that changes any time soon.

As most questions are personal related and enforcement of rules differ at Immigration Offices, this option does not work.

And I prefer a person ask in a new topic, than just getting a notification or see old topics with already many comments and replies and have to search them to find the new reply with a new question.

We have many new members and there is nothing wrong with asking questions, if members want they can answer. If you don't like to answer just scroll on. But if you answer, stay on topic and give advice on the question.

Not sure how many more times a question needs to be posted regarding a TM30? 6 times a day for the last god knows how many years, the answer should be clear enough surely?

I think it is more laziness and some folks want their questions answered directly instead of trusting a reply from 1 month ago....

I think it’s a combination of people just not knowing that you can do a search in the group and laziness

And as with many fb groups, it would be nice if people could be bothered to do a search within the group before asking fairly simple questions

Ok, that one I agree with. Very easy to find. But any type of complex search queries, like

("Myanmar" AND "Border") NOT (Visa)

Is going to kick back some very strange results...

For example, the latest post asking if you can do a border run into Myanmar <groan>

Maybe but it has worked for me many times and has saved me asking several questions that have been done to death before
