Hello, I will be entering Thailand soon and my accommodation is at a friend's house. If I write my home address in the "where are you staying" section of the TDAC form, will the immigration officer question me? Or should I make a hotel reservation for 1-3 days and write the hotel address?
Just sharing today’s exprience in Don Mueng. I used the Thai passport lane as I was traveling with my thai wife. I had filled out the DTAC, and handed it to the immigration officer, who proceeded to totally ignored it. He did not want to see it or the barcode, and just went into the passport to look for the visa stamp.
Hi Guys.... is it just me that's so confused over which health insurance I need in order to apply for nonO visa through thai embassy🫣. I expected nothing is cheap but im getting so many different prices...and shocked by some..am i even googling the right insurance🤷♂️...that's why I ask you experts here 🙏. Is it best to pay annually?... monthly?.. how long do I take this out for as my plan is to go on to a retirement visa. At 50 years old with no previous illness what is an average price?... any help would be much appreciated.... Best reply... beers on me 🍻🍻😅
This was my second entry to Thailand on the DTV. I had entered Thailand from Bali on my first entry and it was a breeze. Just got asked a Q about accomodation.
Today I was entering from Pakistan. And it was even smoother. I expected a lot of Qs at Bangkok airport. Surprisingly, no Qs asked. Just stamped in for 6 months.
There were a few Qs leaving Pakistan (by Pakistani Passport Control) but mainly because they'd never seen a DTV before 😁
So happy with the whole process 🎉
PS: I filled out the TDAC while still on runway so it saved a BUNCH of time. Also, ZERO waiting time in line for passport control. They have so many counters now.
Hello; new here and hopefully this is a simple question. US citizens, first visit to Thailand, arriving by air to BKK 1/11/2026 staying until 1/31/2026 flying to Luang Prabang from Chiang Mai and flying back to Chiang Mai on 2/5/2026 with plans to visit the southern area of Thailand for at least three weeks. Have not booked our departure flight out of BKK to Hanoi yet. On the government website, what would be the correct tourist visa to apply for? When we fly to Laos and back, does that "reset" the clock? Will we need to show our onward ticket to Hanoi, or somewhere else outside of Thailand? Thanks.
