TLDR : Answer Summary
Merv Rotzien faced frustration when attempting to extend his visa in Chaing Khan, Thailand. Despite having bank statements that totaled over 800,000 baht, the visa authorities would not accept a combination of funds, insisting on either a single bank balance of 800,000 baht or a monthly income of 65,000 baht. This situation highlights the strict financial requirements for visa extensions in Thailand.
