In re: US Embassy memo saying no more 30 day extension letters: Is a Type O Non Immigrant Multiple Entry Visa (requiring a border bounce every 90 days) considered "temporary" ? Mine expires October 2. I might leave anyway but would prefer to wait until October.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses whether a Type O Non Immigrant Multiple Entry Visa, requiring a border bounce every 90 days, is considered 'temporary' given the US Embassy's memo regarding the lack of 30-day extension letters. Community comments emphasize concerns about overstays and current visa validity, indicating that proper documentation and awareness of visa statuses are critical for travelers.

If you got a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family in March, then it would expire in May. You are covered by the amnesty starting in May after the extension of stay based on visiting Thai family expires.

If it's your current stamp, you are not covered by the amnesty program, it states when your stamp expires after 26th March.

Hope you have newer stamp..
